Rose Marcoux Loughlin, 91, Of Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Rose Marcoux Loughlin, of Bridgeport, died Friday, June 5, after a long illness. She was 91.

Loughlin was born in New Hampshire on March 23, 1924, to Delvina and Albert Marcoux. She earned a teaching degree after her husband's death in 1955 and spent the next 31 years in the field of special education as a teacher and administrator.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert; two sisters, Sally Gantek and her husband, Stash, and Elaine Zrallack and husband, Robert; a brother, Albert Marcoux and his wife, Kay; and a brother-in-law, John Yanosy.

Loughlin is survived by her two children, Robert and his wife, Nancy, of Trumbull, and Dianne Harry and her husband, Michael, of Bridgeport; three grandchildren, Michael Harry Jr. of New York City, Jennifer Plourde and her husband, Mike, of Vienna, Va., and Robert Harry of Trumbull; three great-grandchildren, Thomas and James Plourde, and Eliza Harry; her sister Gloria Yanosy; friend Norma Wattell; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be handled by the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour.
